A short walk around the corner from Victoria Station and before you get to Buckingham Palace, is the first newly built central London theatre in 30 years.
Enjoying the character and intimacy of a cabaret space, the versatility of a theatre, with the acoustics of a concert hall, the St. James Studio has also established itself. With a judiciously curated programme of cabaret, jazz, comedy, musicals, and theatre, often in the same week, the Studio is now widely, recognised as a champion of new musical writing, new cabaret, lunchtime theatre and political comedy.
St James Theatre opened to the public in September 2012. Built on the site of the former Westminster Theatre in Victoria , the venue includes a state-of-the-art 312 seat theatre, the St.James Studio performance space, (where we present our JBGB Events events ) with seating for 110 and 10 standing, Broadcast TV facilities and a bustling cafe bar and brasserie designed by architect Tim Foster.
