And here’s a London Sunday afternoon, celebrating the final day of the EFG London Jazz Festival, with two of the UKs brilliant young guitarists – Nick Fitch and Jamie McCredie

Nick Fitch, an Honours graduate of the Guildhall School of Music is a freelance guitarist, musical director and arranger. Working with a range of artists and as a session and theatre band performer, he now runs the Nick Fitch band regularly performing in London’s commercial and jazz music venues including a regular slot at Ronnie Scotts

Jamie McCredie, also an alumni of the Guildhall School of Music is an active and versatile guitarist. Recently returned from a US and Europe tour with Rosin Murphy he has has featured on many recordings by top singers.

Nick and Jamie are both active in breaking down musical barriers between jazz, rock and classical harmony. In this concert they will showcase modern memorable melodies in a variety of styles embracing improvisation and interplay between two brilliant music makers

Piano Smithfield is a classic basement jazz club, for 70 seated customers with superb sound and lighting, plus excellent cocktails and wonderful pizzas.

In addition to 8pm evening concerts, we are adding four weekend 3.30pm concerts, so customers have time to enjoy lunch elsewhere, or at the many good eateries at Smithfield and the Barbican, and make it an occasion taking in top jazz and all in time to be home for your Saturday and Sunday Evenings
