Harry Greene, Britain’s most youthful and compelling jazz saxophonist, played Dean Street with his then quintet in 2020 to a sold out audience demanding more and to critical acclaim.
Whilst the pandemic has delayed his anticipated return, we are delighted the time has come for this summer concert with his brand new quintet paying a loving tribute to the legendary “Blue Note” label.
With Harry’s writing skills to the fore in addition to his towering tenor saxophone playing, audiences will enjoy sparkling new arrangements of Dexter Gordon, Freddie Hubbard and John Scofield compositions, among many others.
The band, comprising some of the country’s most exciting and respected jazz musicians, captures the Blue Note spirit whilst retaining their own style and sense of originality.
