Louise Clare Marshall, singing star of the Jools Holland Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, after sold out concerts in the London Jazz Festival, makes her Jazz Divas debut in this Latin inspired concert.
Whether performing on tour with BBC’s Jools Holland or Roxy Music, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin’s American Songbook, Louise’s sonic skills span across genres: Jazz, Pop, R&B, Electronic, Classical or Gospel music. And all the while, her voice resonates, crackles, pops and burns as a phoenix rises from the flame.
In this Jazz Divas concert Louise gives voice to the producer, composer, keyboardist and vocalist, Sergio Mendes whose influence on the music industry has spanned five decades and continues to evolve through new collaborations and mediums.
One of the most internationally successful Brazilian artists of all time, Mendes has recorded more than 35 albums, many of which went gold or platinum, and he’s a three-time Grammy® Awards winner.
Currently a featured singer with Jools Holland, Louise has worked with David Gilmour, Beverley Knight, Michael Ball, Robbie Williams, Bryan Ferry, Ronnie Wood, Van Morrison, Madeline Bell, Steve Winwood to name but a few.
Enjoy Louise here in a most soulful mood, with a great Ray Charles number
