Ned Begley in JBGB JAZZ SINGERS 2022

The delightful, talented Nel Begley is the first singer in the JBGB Jazz Singers 2022 series at Piano Smithfield.

Fusing her love of Bossa Nova and Latin stylings to the swinging sounds of Broadway and the American Songbook - Nel and her band will be performing hits such as “Girl From Ipamema”, “Chega De Saudade (No More Blues) and “Comes Love”

Nel is an experienced singer and performer. She graduated with a First from Leeds College of Music where she studied Jazz under the tutelage of Lauren Kinsella.?

She has performed with numerous projects covering a wide range of styles and genres including jazz, close harmony, pop, musical theatre and vocal improvisation. She is currently performing with her originals project ‘Rafe’s Dilemma’ and the London vocal project. She also composes and performs her own material.

Accompanying Nel is the accomplished pianist Rob Barron, returning to Piano Smithfield after his recent debut concert with James Hudson performing the music of Nat King Cole and Guildhall alumni Joe Lee on double bass.

Here is Nel swinging along with “Them There Eyes” accompanied by just Luke Fowler on double bass. Just delightful
