Flying in from their USA base, and returning to Dean Street by popular request, come Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi, among the greatest living jazz pianists, for two concerts of spectacular classic jazz in the stride, ragtime blues and boogie woogie traditions.
These “must get to” 2020 concerts follow on from their previous sold out UK concerts in the the 2016 London Jazz Festival at The Other Palace; in the Steinway two pianos festival at Dean Street in 2017; a return to Dean Street in 2018 and their 2019 two-pianos tour-de-force at St Johns Smith Square in the recent EFG London Jazz Festival.
These two concerts, featuring different and distinctive programmes, are dedicated to the rich variety of early jazz and early American popular music:
Fats Waller, James P.Johnson, Count Basie, Earl Hines, Jelly Roll Morton, Duke Ellington, Erroll Garner & more.
With their wide spectrum of styles (both in piano solo and in four-hands) Stephanie and Paolo will cover about 50 years of jazz piano history, from stride piano to swing, from ragtime to blues and boogie boogie.
The concerts include "KeyboardCam" which allows every seat in the house to see the Pianists hands.
