Trudy Kerr sings Doris Day - CANCELLED

Saturday May 16

Trudy Kerr sings Doris Day

At Studio 5 Troubadour, Wembley Park

This is Trudy's debut at Studio 5, much in demand after her sold out event at Crazy Coqs in 2019 and returning again to Crazy Coqs later this year.  With the return of Trudy Kerr performing more of the music of Doris Day, this concert will have the audience on their feet singing along with the finale .

Doris Day wasn't just a great actress – she was one of most expressive jazz singers of her generation.

Despite the glittering film career that earned her numerous awards and a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Doris Day said that the best time of her career was when she was a big band singer. She just love singing, with a sparkling style and had “ a voice so fresh you could smell it," - Andy Williams.

Even in her 70’s she commented that "The happiest times in my life were the days when I was travelling with the band”.

With her lilting contralto voice, wholesome blonde beauty and glowing smile, she was a top box office draw and sensational recording artist, with many hit songs including “Que Sera Sera”, “A Secret Love”, “When I Fall In Love”, “Sentimental Journey”, “It’s Magic” and the everlasting jazz standard “Lullaby Of Broadway”

Trudy Kerr is renowned as one of the UK's finest jazz vocalists. Mojo Magazine says of her singing "Trudy Kerr is the genuine article - She is a Joy!" All About Jazz has described her as "100% real jazz musician with fluid phrasing and a mellifluous, warm and sensuous tone."
