The Stables Theatre

Established by Dame Cleo Laine and Sir John Dankworth in outbuildings at their home in October 2000 as a venue for concerts and education activities. The second phase of the development came in 2007 and it is now home to The Jim Marshall Auditorium. This fantastic space has a capacity of 448 (398 seated and 50 standing) and Stage 2 (80 seated and 20 standing or 100 standing) and presents an impressive 300 + concerts and 250 education sessions a year.

The intimate auditorium has proved to be a favourite venue for many fine musicians such as Joan Armatrading, Courtney Pine, Dave Brubeck Nigel Kennedy and a host of other renowned artists.
