A year on from their outstanding sold-out concert, opening the 2018 Festival at The Other Palace, we enthusiastically welcome the return of the amazing Swing Orchestra Down For The Count to open our 2019 Festival programme.
Under the direction of Mike Paul-Smith, this in-demand 10-piece unit and three personality - plus individual singers and in close harmony, re -create in their own style the big band music of the Swing era. The music and character of Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and Count Basie will ensure a most enjoyable evening with our audience going home with big smiles.
