Claire Martin, the UK’s greatest and most awarded jazz singer, returns to Crazy Coqs, accompanied by the much in demand, ace piano style of Rob Barron, for an early Christmas Holiday evening with the music of the 20th Century song master, George Gershwin.
Claire, awarded the OBE for her services to jazz, is a much-appreciated international singer, equally at home in sold-out concerts on the big stages, such as the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, with a symphony orchestra, as well as regular appearances at intimate, top jazz clubs including Ronnie Scott’s and The Pheasantry, with her trio.
She has a wealth of major recordings with top musicians and has in the last few years created a successful summer jazz festival at Iford Manor .

Rob Barron, an outstanding jazz pianist, and professor of Jazz at The Guildhall School of Music, also performs internationally. Not only a much-requested accompanist, but also as a piano soloist and with his own trio on major stages such as St John’s Smith Square and most recently in top jazz venues, with his creation of music from the great Leonard Bernstein. His most recent album has achieved significant critical applause.
